Planning Your Field Trip Visit
This page provides scheduling templates, group size guidance, and practical information to help you plan a smooth visit. If you have questions about how to structure your trip, contact us and we will help you work out the details.
Sample Schedules
Option A — Standard Half-Day Visit (approx. 2.5 hours)
📌 Actual start time can be adjusted to match your school's schedule. This is a template — confirm timing when you book.
Option B — Extended Visit with Lunch (approx. 3 to 3.5 hours)
📌 Lunch can be provided by Freeing Canada Station. Teachers are responsible for supervising the lunch period.
Option C — Large Group Rotation (multiple classes or sections)
Group Size and Room Capacity
Each escape room accommodates up to 8 students at a time. Larger classes are managed through scheduled rotations — groups take turns completing the room experience while others wait or participate in a facilitated pre-session activity.
Teacher Responsibilities and Accompanying Adults
Freeing Canada Station staff supervise students throughout the escape room experience and post-game session. Accompanying teachers are expected to:
-
Remain on-site for the duration of the visit
-
Supervise students during transitions, waiting periods, and lunch breaks
-
Manage any behavioral or medical concerns in accordance with school board policy
-
Be reachable by phone during the visit
We recommend one accompanying teacher per 30 students. Additional chaperones are welcome and should be confirmed at the time of booking.
Pre-Assigning Students to Groups
To ensure an efficient and organized arrival, teachers are asked to assign students to groups before the visit. A group assignment sheet will be provided by Freeing Canada Station once your booking is confirmed. You can distribute this to students in advance so that everyone arrives knowing which room they are in.
Pre-assignment helps avoid confusion on arrival and allows the experience to begin on schedule. Students should be grouped in advance based on your knowledge of your class — Freeing Canada Station staff can advise on group composition if needed.

Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled start time to allow for check-in
